Downtown Enfield Restoration and Preservation Association (DERP) is dedicated to preserving Enfield’s rich history. This year the 2021 Christmas Homes Tour features six homes. As Mayor Wayne Anderson said, “You don’t really own these homes. You take care of them for the next generation – hoping that they too will preserve these special places.” DERP couldn’t agree more with the mayor. The organization has done a good job getting the word out to others about the historic homes in Enfield. The six homes on the tour this year are more than a century old and have been brought back to life and repurposed for living in the 21st Century: Branch Grove; Bellamy Manor & Gardens, The Cellar, Jones Warehouse, Mann Cottage and the Hunter-Hardison House.
DERP designed its Christmas Homes Tour to showcase the unique architecture in Enfield but also to celebrate the town’s rich history – with the hope that future generations will protect the enduring legacy of some of Enfield’s oldest historic homes.
