On Saturday Morning DERP will host the annual Christmas Craft Fair as part of the Colonial Christmas Weekend of events. There will be home made pierced tin ornament classes, colonial Christmas decoration ideas, as well as wonderful crafters who will share their talents with you. This event is free and the vendors will be selling their wares. We will be playing the Mattie Bishop Memorial Piano and this year we will have a sax player outside playing Christmas music! This will all take place under one roof at the Larry Perkins Building, 131 Whitfield Street in Downtown Enfield.
The homes tour will begin at noon and end at 5:00 PM this year. We have 6 federal style architectural gems for you to visit this year. There will be light refreshments in each house. Promptly at 5:30 PM we will have Evening Prayer service at the historic Episcopal Church of the Advent on Bachelor Street in Downtown Enfield.
The DERP committee has added a Friday evening Christmas tree lighting for the first time. Join us on Friday for singing carols, meeting Santa Claus, and a surprise guest entertaining us with a reading from A Christmas Carol.
