Enfield Lions Club Annual Enfield Horse Show

September 7, 2019 9:30 am-5:00 pm

Halifax, NC

Enfield was once the home of the largest one-day horse show in the nation. Beginning in 1951 the show ran annually for more than 20 years. The Enfield Lions Club revived the tradition in 2012. The event has a reputation for being a fun, all-breed, multi-discipline horse show.
The Enfield Lions Club Horse Show is part of the Tri-County Horse Show circuit.
Riders can sign up the day of the event. Registration will be on-site beginning at 8:30 a.m. and competition classes are $7 for all ages. Last year, there were 57 classes, including Saddle, Hunt, English seats as well as Cavaletti, Western, Working, Ranch, Trail, Barrel and Pole classes, with 200 riders participating. Ad sponsorship for classes is still available, from $15 to $200.
Back by popular demand, the Lions will have an arts-and-crafts activity for the children. There will be “stick horses” for children to paint, followed by a special “Stick Horse Class” after lunch. Children can “turn out” their own personalized stick horses and compete for ribbons and prizes.
