Jackyl

January 25, 2025

Roanoke Rapids, NC

On August 11, 1992 Jackyl dropped their debut album amid the grunge wave. Yet, their loud, unapologetic rock, produced by Brendan O’Brien (AC/DC, Stone Temple Pilots), catapulted them to double-platinum success, landing them a spot at Woodstock ’94. With hits like "The Lumberjack," where Jesse James Dupree’s chainsaw solo became iconic, Jackyl quickly built a passionate fan base.
In 2022, they celebrated 30 years together at Sturgis’s Full Throttle Saloon, releasing their latest album, Jackyl 30 Coming In Hot, featuring the single “Get All Up In It.”

Jackyl has never shied from bold moves—whether it was protesting K-Mart’s album ban by performing “I Stand Alone” in front of their store or Dupree’s infamous chainsaw entrance at a Longhorn Steakhouse, leading to a million-dollar lawsuit.
Their fans only grew, pushing Push Comes to Shove to platinum and making “Mental *@%!,” featured on The Beavis & Butt-head Experience, a cult favorite. Their relentless touring has taken them alongside legends like Aerosmith, KISS, and ZZ Top, while their Woodstock ’94 appearance sealed their place in rock history.
