Our goal is to maintain the festive spirit of Christmas in the Town of Scotland Neck. Given the absence of a parade this year, we intend to broaden Scotland Neck's Annual Christmas Tree Lighting event to feature a live band. For the first time, the Scotland Neck Police Department, in partnership with the Town of Scotland Neck and the Scotland Neck Business Association, will host the North Carolina 440th Army National Guard Band during the annual tree lighting celebration on Thursday, December 5th, from 5:30 PM to 7:00 PM. We have extended invitations to all local churches and businesses to join in by setting up Christmas-themed booths to distribute free candy to children, and we welcome anyone else interested in participating. We are particularly excited about collaborating with the National Guard Band, which will provide a live performance at the town commons. Attendees can also enjoy festive foods and free hot chocolate, along with a special visit from Santa, making it a delightful event for the kids and the entire community.
