NC Science Festival/ Earth Day Celebration

Join us for our biggest STEM celebration of the year! Sylvan Heights Bird Park’s Earth Day Celebration offers visitors the opportunity to learn about the uses and impacts of science in our daily lives by engaging in hands-on learning with local museums, universities, environmental organizations and STEM professionals.

Help us celebrate the NCSciFest theme "Engineering Tomorrow" by putting your engineering skills to the test! Throughout the day, guests can participate in the Bird Nest Engineering Challenge to see how well they can measure up against birds - the "architects of the animal kingdom". There will be special exhibits, activities and crafts for the whole family!
