⭐ The Current of Time: An Oral History of Weldon

Join us for the premiere of the 55-minute powerful documentary called “The Current of Time: An Oral History of Weldon.” We have 30 past and current residents that have been filmed with their fascinating memories and stories by an award-winning documentarian. A catered lunch is being provided at the cost of $20. Lunch reservations must be made by October 25. This event is being funded by America 250 NC.

After the film, join us at 2:00 p.m. at the ribbon cutting of the Ralph J Bunche Park at Water and First street in Weldon. Celebrate the grand opening of the newly constructed memorial park at First and Water Street in Weldon. It is dedicated to the rich history of Weldon and the legacy of Ralph J. Bunche School. Spend time connecting with friends, family, and neighbors. Enjoy an afternoon filled with music, refreshments, and activities for all ages. We are grateful to the Cannon Foundation for funding much of the first phase of the Ralph J. Bunche Park and to the John & Blair James family for sponsoring the event.
