Chili will be evaluated on taste, consistency, aroma, color, and bite. A trophy will be presented to the winning team. The coveted "People's Choice" award will be determined by the team with the most advanced sales.
The NC Vietnam Memorial Wall This memorial was built by, left to right: Bill Clark, NC AMVETS Post 906 and owner of Millennium Corp., Mike Fife, General Manager of Builders First Source, supplied lumber, Jason Swarthwood, owner Brunswick Glass, supplied materials and Roland Smith, owner of A Sign of Distinction, donated materials and skilled men to fabricate and install names on panels working with Millennium Contractors, Inc. who also supplied labor and materials to produce this lasting tribute and a reminder of the lives lost fighting for America in Vietnam.
REMEMBRANCE on the RIVER is a yearly event held on the banks of the beautiful Roanoke River. This inspiring event’s two primary founders are the NC AMVETS Service Foundation, a 501(C) (3) charitable organization, and Bruce Tyler, a combat veteran and local business owner of Weldon Mills Distillery.
