Yuletide by Lanternlight at Historic Halifax

Historic Halifax plans its second annual Yuletide by Lanternlight event, a family-friendly and interactive candlelight tour experience. Begin your visit with a horse-drawn wagon ride from the visitor center to the historic buildings, decorated for the holiday season and staffed with historic interpreters portraying typical holiday scenes, or vignettes of life in Halifax, 200 years ago! The site’s historic buildings will be decorated using all-natural materials which will feature items not usually seen in more modern decorating. A minimum of five buildings will be featured on this tour including homes, taverns, and public buildings of the town of Halifax, a colonial port town of North Carolina’s Roanoke River basin. See the town come to life in the warm glow of lanternlight! The following day, a holiday homes tour is held in nearby, Enfield, North Carolina and typically a combination tour ticket option is also available, which provides admission to both tours at a discounted rate. These tickets are also released on Eventbrite, concurrent the Halifax/Yuletide ticket sales.
