More on Social Media

REMEMBRANCE on the RIVER is a yearly event held on the banks of the beautiful Roanoke River. Our mission is to give Honor to our War Heroes and to tell the story and ensure all citizens understand the history and the importance of the service to God and Country that every service member provides. This inspiring event’s two primary founders are the NC AMVETS Service Foundation, a 501(C)(3) charitable organization, and Bruce Tyler, a combat veteran and local business owner of Weldon Mills Distillery.

This event is FREE to the public and will include: North Carolina Vietnam Traveling Wall, owned and built by AMVETS Post 906 in South Port, NC, Trees of Valor, Beirut Memorial, NC National Guard Mobil Museum, Lights of Valor, and a Field of Flags made up of flags placed by you in honor of your past and present military family members who served in the United States Military. Food and craft vendors on site, with music and special presentations throughout the event.
