At Manning Elementary, we value Learning, Hard Work, Integrity, Communication, and Safety, and our mission is to lead all learners to be engaged, thoughtful, and hard-working citizens of our community. Manning’s mascot is the Mustang, which exemplifies the spirit, independence, and strength that we strive to cultivate in our students. We believe that ALL students can learn and grow at high levels, and we work to help our students and staff exhibit a growth mindset in all that they do. We have Exceeded Expected Growth by a large margin for several consecutive years, and for the past three years (2016-19) have been in the top 10% of all schools in the state for academic growth. Needless to say, we are very proud of the work that our students and teachers have done and continue to do!
Our amazing Rockfish was painted by none other than talented artist (and RRGSD Lead School Nurse) Ms. Sarah Davis, and we couldn’t be more pleased to have it on display at Manning to show our Roanoke Valley pride! Please come by and pay our Mustangs a visit-- we would love to show you around!
