Music, theater, museums, history, agriculture and shopping draw visitors to America’s Main Street, the I-95 corridor.

Spanning Eastern North Carolina linking seven counties between the South Carolina and Virginia state lines. The nearly 200-mile stretch of highway is the gateway to everything from antiques to botanical gardens, Revolutionary and Civil War sites to water sports like fishing, kayaking and canoeing. Take time to meander off the Interstate to visit the 82nd Airborne Division War Memorial Museum at Fort Liberty, enjoy musical theater and concerts at the Royal Palace Theater, and let your tastebuds be tempted by local farm-fresh cuisine.

Historic Halifax’s museum, multiple historic structures, living history demonstrations and archeological exhibits capture the life and times of the revolution. Animal attractions, shopping, golf, family activities and special events make spending some time off the highway rewarding.
